External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi on Sunday took to Twitter to inform that PM Modi had wrapped up his Japan visit and is departing for Papua New Guinea.

Group of Seven talks were culminating Sunday with a dramatic, in-person appeal from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is pressing leaders gathered here to remain united against Russian aggression.

In a striking morning photo-op, leaders in suit jackets lined up alongside the Ukrainian president, dressed in his usual military green, to show their sustained support for his country moving ahead, reported CNN.

As they convened behind closed doors, it was almost certain Zelenskyy would continue his appeals for more powerful weapons and tougher sanctions on Russia.

"Democracy needs more. I think we need clear global leadership of democracy. This is the main thing that we provide with our cooperation," the Ukrainian president said.

"During the Quad meeting, US President Joe Biden told PM Modi that he was facing a challenge because of a deluge of requests from prominent citizens to attend PM Modi's event. Australian PM Anthony Albanese also added that there is a capacity of 20,000 for the Community reception in Sydney but he is still not able to accommodate the requests he has been getting. Joe Biden told PM, Modi, that he should be getting PM Modi’s autograph," as per a report.

"India and Brazil will keep working together to deepen trade ties. We also discussed diversifying cooperation in sectors like agriculture, defence and more," the prime minister shared as he met with the President of Brazil on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Japan.

Following their discussions, the Brazilian president shared, "Brazil and India are countries with great contributions to the global economy and politics. Today we are also talking about the war in Ukraine and the need to build ways out of the conflict. We are on the side of peace."

PM Modi and United Kingdom PM Rishi Sunak discussed wide-ranging aspects in Hiroshima. "We discussed boosting cooperation in trade, innovation, science and other such sectors,' PM Modi shared on Twitter.
